This Privacy Policy describes how idPair, Inc. (“idPair,” “we,” or “us”) handles the personal information that we collect through the National Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program application, which provides users with tools and information to assist them in accessing gambling self-exclusion databases in the United States (the “Services”).
Personal information you provide.
· Contact details, such as your first, middle and last name, phone number, mailing address and email address.
· Account information, such as the username and password you use to log into your account.
Subscription and payment information, as neededto complete your transactions with us, including payment card information, andbilling information. This information is processed bythird-party payment processors. Our third-party payment processors will handleyour payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We donot have access to your full payment card information
· Identity verification information, including any information required to verify your identity or notarize your submissions in accordance with state gambling regulations. This may include government identification numbers (such as a Social Security number, driver’s license number, or passport number), a photo copy of your government ID, a photograph or video of you, information about your appearance (such as your gender, hair color, eye color, height, weight, ethnicity and details of any physical marks), date of birth, marriage status, residency status, citizenship, employment information, and other relevant information. This information may be collected from you directly by our third-party identity verification or notarization service providers.
· Feedback or correspondence, such as information you provide when you contact us with questions, feedback, or otherwise correspond with us.
Personal information we collect automatically: We and our service providers may automatically log information about you or your mobile device, and your interactions over time with our Services, including through the use of cookies, pixels, and other similar technologies. The data we collect automatically may include:
· Device data, such as your mobile device’s operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, RAM and disk size, CPU usage, device type (e.g.,phone, tablet), IP address, unique identifiers, language settings, mobile device carrier, radio/network information (e.g., WiFi, LTE, 4G), and general location information such as city, state or geographic area.
· Online activity data, such as pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, browsing history, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, duration of access, and whether you have opened our marketing emails or clicked links within them.
We use personal information for the following purposes or as otherwise described at the time of collection:
To provide, operate and administer the Services. We use personal information to operate, maintain, and administer our Services. This includes conducting identity and verification checks, allowing you to communicate your preferences to state gambling regulators and gambling operators, facilitating payments, and optimizing your user experience.
To communicate with you about the Services.We will use your personal information to respond to your requests, questions and feedback, and communicate with you about our Services, including by sending announcements, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages.
To improve, monitor, personalize, and protect our Services. We use personal information to improve and keep our Services safe for our users. This includes understanding how you and other users navigate our Services so we can improve and optimize user experience, monitoring the security of our Services, and troubleshooting, testing and researching, and keeping the Services secure.
For research and development. We may use personal information for research and development purposes, including to study the effectiveness of self-exclusion programs and other state gambling initiatives. As part of these activities, we may create or use aggregated, de-identified, or other anonymized data from personal information we collect.We may use this anonymized data and share it with third parties, including state regulators and research partners, for lawful purposes.
For compliance and protection. We may use personal information to comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal process, such as to respond to subpoenas or requests from government authorities; protect our, your or others’ rights, privacy, safety or property (including by making and defending legal claims); audit our internal processes for compliance with legal and contractual requirements and internal policies; enforce the terms and conditions that govern our Services; and prevent, identify, investigate and deter fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity, including cyberattacks and identity theft.
We may disclose your personal information in the following ways:
State regulators and gambling operators. When you use the Services, you may designate the states for which you would like to be included within voluntary self-exclusion databases. By designating any such states, you authorize us to share your information with relevant regulators and gambling operators in those states.
Service providers. We may disclose your personal information to third party companies and individuals that provide services on our behalf or help us operate our Services (such as hosting, information technology, customer support, ecommerce platform, email delivery, and website analytics services).
Professional advisors. We may disclose your personal information to professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, bankers, and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.
Authorities and others. We may disclose your personal information to law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties, as we believe in good faith to be necessary or appropriate for the compliance and protection purposes described above.
Business transferees. We may disclose your personal information to acquirers and other relevant participants in business transactions (or negotiations for such transactions)involving a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, sale or other disposition of all or any portion of the business or assets of, or equity interests in, our business (including, in connection with a bankruptcy or similar proceedings).
Update your account information. You can update or correct the information in your account at any time by contacting us as described in the “How to Contact Us” section below.
Account deactivation and deletion. If you have an account on our Services, you may deactivate and delete your account by contacting us as described in the “How to Contact Us” section below. Note that deactivating your account may not cause us to fully delete all of your personal information.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to help us better understand how people engage with our Services by collecting information and creating reports about how users use our Services. These links are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, any third party. We do not control third party websites, mobile applications or online services, and we are not responsible for their actions. Other websites, mobile applications and services follow different rules regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of the other websites and mobile applications and online services you use.
We employ a number of commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. However, no security measures are failsafe, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.
OurServices are not intended for use by children under 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information through our Application from a child under 18 without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian, as required by law, we will delete it.
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the date of this Privacy Policy.
